NOS head lights

No more point deductions at any major shows in the future . I know some loss of points occurred at the AACA Winter Nationals in Ocala , Fla. Feb 22 because of the head lights not being correct & I knew it . The heater & related parts business / hobby has been quite good lately so treated the truck to a set of NOS FORD correct head lights . Felt good about it & better when they were installed .

Do they work? I know some guys just put the correct headlights in on the day of the show working or not.

Have judges ever made anyone turn on their lights?

No operational aspects of the vehicle / components are checked during the show although the vehicle must be able to drive onto the show field .

Oh, I'm sure they weren't cheap. That's why I didn't ask the price!

My first thought was if you use them outside of shows. With the price of them I would think you would want to keep them working as long as possible.
Do you drive your truck at night much?

Truck is rarely driven on the road . Last time was 2 weeks ago w/ the show 2.7 mi one way from here . . Last time at night was over a yr. ago . Most of the time we park the tow rig as close as possible to the show site . One must remember where we live . In S. Fla. w/ all the snow birds . Most start clearing out by Easter . It is scary driving that 66 yr. old vehicle in traffic .

Knew a guy that would tow a trailer to each show...in the trailer he had all the "NOS" parts that he would swap out on the car before parking it on the show grounds.
I'd rather be on the golf course!
