So what did you get out of that truck besides the wheels, a working cigarette lighter (I can never not think of the Blues brothers when I see one)

Glad to see you went through with the deal. Welcome to the best engine in the world! Best places to get parts for fairly cheap prices is RiffRaff or Diesel O rings like the other guys said. Both don't take to long for shipping. Depending on how many miles were on that truck im sure the engine and tranny were still worth a pretty penny.

The guy I got the truck from was very diligent and even send the oils for lab testing and the results came back good (I need to ask me for a copy) (I just learn this morning) besides the diesel is not even a trace of a leak anywhere, totally dry on the bottom and even on the engine compartment..

I feel very confident is going to work, the metal is thick on this things, you can tell it was used hard and is kind of clap out cosmetically so i will start the re-beautification process as soon as I get her square away..

Yeap, the guy had like 50 text after mine, but he hold his word of "First to contact, first to serve" he even give me a whole night to research about it..

great dude, I'm super exited, but it needs so many little things to fix I don't know where to start (well the mechanical first)

I have to confess I never had a machine that require SEA tools, so i even need to complete my collection..

As your first diesel, that is not a bad idea to make sure you dont fill it with gas. I'll admit the sticker color choice is a bit goofy, but at least it's only temporary.

Shortly after getting my first diesel, I came within a trigger pull from filling my tank with gasoline once. The nozzle was in and ready to fuel before I glanced once more at the price for regular unleaded... and then diesel.

Look into the hutch and harpoon mods for your 7.3. Especially with it being a van with a metal tank, you want to address the fuel delivery weaknesses if it hasn't already been done.
