Brake torque specs
Brake torque specs
2006 XLT 4x4. Doing brakes on my truck and getting some mixed info. I don't have a repair manual so I am relying on the internet, but there are tons of confusing posts, even some posts on the same threads that say different specs and I want to get the correct ones.
I am replacing calipers (& pads) as well as rotors. So if spec for front and rear differ, please specify.
I need the torque specs for the following:
1. Flow bolt (not sure if that is even what it's called) on the brake line that holds the two washers.
2. Caliper anchor (bracket) bolts. The rear are attached to the axle, but I assume they are the same spec as the front.
3. Caliper bolts.
What I have is:
26 for the flow bolt
148 for the anchors
47 front caliper
22 rear caliper
Are these numbers correct?

If you're getting differing specs on the Internet, I would suggest you fork out the $29.99 for a Haynes or Chilton's manual at your local auto parts store. Not trying to be a jerk, but I've learned the hard way
