Question Exhaust on a Mountaineer V8 AWD

I have a 00 Mountaineer V8 AWD and want to put an exhaust on it.No one makes a catback due to the air ride system. What about taking off from muffler back and putting a 40 or 50 series flowmaster with a turndown before the axle.It sounds good on 5.0 Mustangs and this is pretty much the same engine.Thoughts please.

You will hate it if you do a turndown... the interior resonance of the Flowmaster plus the turndown will be bad becuase you have such a big cab. Why not just swap out the stock muffler with a long body Magnaflow or at least the 50 series SUV or 70 series muffler?

I didnt have a clue as to how much it would resonate,I just want big sound.I guess I could keep the stock pipe and just have a new mufler put in the old ones place.I think I want the 40 series for the sound, and with the pipe it shouldnt be that bad right.

Well if you want duals you can do that to, I was just saying that the turndowns will be quite loud in the cab. A buddy of mine had the 50 series dualed out on his '01 F-150 and it sounded very nice. You could only hear it on the inside if he was accelerating hard or if the windows were down.
