I am looking at King Ranch or Platinum to buy both have the FX4 package. Whats the difference between the King Ranch and the Platinum? The seats and wheels are the only thing I can see . They are both equipped the same. On the Platinum most are standard equipment where King Ranch are optional. Does on ride or handle better. Would the seats be more comfortable in the Platinum? More trouble on one then the other? Thanks

Appearance. That’s it. Identical truck frame, engine options, ride, etc. Seats are only appearance. Optional options only boil down to which package you select.
Had a 2015 Platinum with all the options and a 5'5" bed,, hated the truck,, did not like the way it drove and the ride was average... Ordered a 2019 King Ranch loaded with a 6'5" bed and love it.. The seats are more comfortable and the ride and handling is much better than the Platinum. Both equipped with a 3.5 eb engine and both 4x4.... Good luck on your purchase!!!
Above the Lariat, the King Ranch, Platinum and Limited trim levels are identical with the exception of Interior Colors, Grill and Wheel Designs. Same holds true between the F150 and Super Duty models. I believe the Lariat offers everything the upper Trim Levels do, minus the Massaging Seats and a Tailgate Appliqué.

Personal choice only but get the best leather if your looking at this level, and like I said, my choice, delete the "moon roof" if it's a option. Our Lariat has leather but it's no Lincoln I can tell you that. I also agree with the 6-1/2' bed. Our last 3 Ford pickups have had one and we we really like the additional wheel base for the ride. Good Luck
It's a personal choice, but I prefer the K/R vehicles. We had a 2002, we now have a 2015, and a 2017. There is NOTHING wrong with the Platinum, or the LIMITED.
I always considered the K/R as a "western" theme truck, and I live in the country.
Don't know about the '19 MY but I put a set of '17 MY on mine. I believe it's my favorite OEM wheel from Ford. I am not a fan of the interiors on any of the trim levels above the Lariat.
Not pertaining to your choice but I bought an 04' 250 Crew Cab XLT in RED and put KR badging on it. Back then they were either green or brown.2-tone; you can't believe how many asked about it. I told them it was a special order with leather delete. It did have bucket seats. I would have bought the Harley Emblems but the were real metal and cost way more than the KR's. The only dealer I could find at the time to sell them to me was in Texas... Traded it in 2013...Wonder where it is today....
