Hellwig Sway Bar Installed

End link

Saddle

Bar

Saddle 2
I got my Hellwig BigWig sway bar installed today.
Easy except for the link mount bolt that goes through the frame above the DEF tank. Their instructions on that are really poor and need a rewrite. I was able to fish the bolt into the hole using a piece of coat hanger wire.
The bar is stout, and hugs the front of the diff over the drive side.
Ill be towing on Thursday, I'm expecting better behavior back there.

I put one on my '13 f250. Made a huge difference. Make sure you retorque the bolts after a while. Mine rotated around the axle a bit, causing the bed to ride really wonky. Easy fix, but had me worried a bit.

OP, how much clearance do you have between the sway bar and the passenger side shock?

Whats the difference between this and the factory one? Interested to see if its worth putting one back on mine.

I was wondering the same thing, I once installed a Hellwig rear sway bar on a 2002 F150. I did notice some difference since it didn't have a sway bar at all, but the F250, at least the one I have does have a rear sway bar. I will just replace the bushing with Urethane and see how that works.

I went with the Roadmaster swaybars front and rear which are slightly larger than the Hellwig bar. Having a TC onboard it made a huge difference on sway vs stock setup Tracks like its on rails even with the Lance 855S sitting in the bed!

The rear factory one is sized for a bicycle that's what's wrong with it

The larger diameter anti-roll bars are great for increasing roll resistance which makes a vehicle much more stable in turns and crosswinds.
The bars are usually sold as a balanced set with the front bar helping keep the front end flatter in turns, too.
A large diameter bar on the front without a rear bar will have a tendency to under steer.

It's like upgrading leaf springs to stronger springs, the front and rear should be balanced.
Checkout the diameter of bars on school buses and box vans, they are huge.
