LED blinker problem

I just installed new 08 style tow mirrors with the 17 style l.e.d. lighting...running, blinkers, puddles, work and/or spot...and everything seems to be working okay. I ran wires to the front of the truck where the headlights are and tapped into the blinker and running lights there given I was also installing the 05 style Harley units. I did install LED bulbs for the headlights, but the turn signal and/or running light bulbs were left stock halogen units. When I turn on the signal indicator there is no light lit up for the given blinker but I can hear the clicking noise inside the mirror. If I turn on the running lights they light up on the mirrors...and if I then turn on the signal indicator, I get a blinker. When it is blinking the flash is opposite of the other front and back signal lights...meaning the light is going out to blink. After some research I am wondering if the EP27 LED flasher module would solve the issue. I know the halogen and/or incandescent bulbs draw more energy and don't understand what is causing this...hopefully I don't have to wire them up somewhere else...as it is not the hyperflash issue most experience.
