I'm searching for ideas for an air filter box for my 53 Ford truck with an EFI engine. I like the idea of using an OEM filter box with paper filter that looks like it belongs in the engine compartment. I assumed this has been done a thousand times but a search that I made turned up nothing I could use. Has anyone done this before or, have any suggestions/pictures? Any help would be appreciated and thanks!
Don't have any pictures but I thought the cab overs had some type of remote mount. Had tube from carb to bottom of regular type oil bath mounted of to the side.
this is not an oem look or option, but this is the direction i'm running on my build. it's a ram air system from Ram Air Box out of canada. it's a little pricey, my set up was $298 for everything out the door. i am running a 302 out of a 86 mustang that has an edelbrock proflow 3 fuel injection system on it. i chose the 14" diameter x 4" high filter option.
