My mpgs are down and have been slowly going down over the past few months from 16.5mpg to 13, believe it or not the lie o meter is only off by about .4 mpg. I pulled the icp plug from the sensor and there's oil on it(new one coming from diesel orings). I ran it with the plug pulled and there was no change in how it ran. How do I test the pig tail to make sure that doesn't have an issue. It has the old style icp, so I believe it's the original. The IPR was replace about 100k ago.
ICP plugged in, I was seeing momentary jumps of FIPW to 3.4 when I hit the gas. At idle warmed up, IPR sits right at 10.5% and goes up to and stops at 40% WOT and FIPW at 2.6. FIPW is down from 2.9 at idle after doing the injector shim.
ICP unplugged:
At idle: Predictably 12.5%(can't recall FIPW) and goes up to 40%ish WOT
My ICP at idle(warmed up) bounces between 425-525 and maxes out WOT at 2650, with a few months ago it was at 2850. The paperwork from PO says it has a t-500 hpop
Just replaced those. I'll have to look underneath while it's running and double check that I installed them correctly. I'm getting good boost numbers though.
If you just installed the up pipes, also check the Y collector (baby's but) connection to the back of the turbo. It's easy to not get that pin aligned and have a gap there that will rob both power and mileage.
