I will have to admit i dont like the delay using the rear speakers as a power for the output line converter to turn on the amp. Should have ran another wire while i had my truck in pieces
Thanks for the detailed write up. My last truck had All Hertz..4 Hertz MLK 1650.3 Mille's 3 Hertz amps, sub, could not have been more pleased. Love the new truck and am just dealing with the sub-par B&O.
My question is I have 2 more Milles 1650.3's, 2 MLK 165.3's and If I get a 5 channel amp and better sub can I still inter-phase with the current set up. The place I do business with said it would work but I like you don't want to loose my under storage space, and they want to mount it where they want. Thanks for any help.
Is there any way to get more volume out of the BNO system just by replacing the speakers and adding a different subwoofer with a Mini amp? My main concern is just getting more volume out of the ****ty system . But I don't want to just waste money when I'm going to have to replace everything to achieve what I'm looking for. Thank you for any replies I appreciate it

Yes, replace the OEM speakers with more efficient speakers. I like the JL Audio and the Focal Integration series. Both work well with the OEM amp with the Focal being a bit brighter. Sub project is also easily done, just make sure you get the right size (ohms) for your application. 67L48 did a great write up on the sub upgrade https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1609807-aftermarket-sub-and-amp-upgrade-to-b-and-o-system.html
I have a write up on the whole upgrade process post is a few places. Look for F350 audio v2.1
and noticed not only a marginal SPL difference at higher volume settings but better perceived clarity as well. Also added a Dayton Audio PS95-8 3-1/2" Point Source Full Range Driver 8 Ohm
in the dash which toned the center channel effect down while still taking advantage of the entire system. I did not change tweeters as my hearing is non-existent over 10 kHz
I also dynamatted the outside of the stock sub to perhaps reduce enclosure vibration and double dynamatted the doors.
There is probably no single "silver bullet." Without quite the large expenditure, it is all about small incremental gains.
