So I went to start my truck this morning and instead of turning the engine over, the ignition cylinder kept spinning. I went and bought a new ignition cylinder and it is still spinning. The engine will turn over but I can't shut it off, I can turn my key back and pull it out but the engine remains running. I shut the engine off by pulling out a fuse to kill it. The vehicle is still on since my radio and windows and everything still work? PLEASE help. I have been tearing it apart trying to figure it out for about 4 hours now.
Since you didn’t say what year or model I’m going to assume that the ignition switch actuator broke and the switch on the column is stuck in the “run” position
