I've put a aftermarket bumper on my 2014 F250. The new bumper came with fog lights installed, but my truck didn't have them from the factory. Before I start cutting wires and stuff, does anybody know if my wiring harness has fog light pigtail already installed? I've found a connector (4 pin) on the cross member near the air bag sensor. (photos attached). I've checked my fuse box and I have a fuse in slot 15, which I've seen mentioned as where as an indicator. I've found the Motorcraft switch with the fog lights for $26, is there anything else I'll need to make this work? I really don't want to do wiring from scratch, but will if I have to. Thanks in advance for any and all help with PA/SPS-GF20 cap in place Inside of connector PA/SPS-GF20 Inside of PA/SPS-GF20
That looks like the right plug for the fog lights. I installed the Ford fog lights on my 2015 that came from the factory without fog lights and the kit came with a wiring harness that connects to that plug you show on the back side of the crossmember and to the back of the fog lights. You can almost certainly test it out by installing the headlight switch and then verifying that you have voltage at that plug with the key on and the fog lights turned on at the headlight switch. The headlight switch is really easy to replace.
On edit.....I see you only need the switch and some sort of cable...probably best to visit your local Ford parts dept.
Ford makes a kit...I thought I posted it a few minutes ago but apparently it didn't.
The XLT kit is BC3Z-15200-BA. Approx $215 list but might be cheaper if your dealer parts give you a discount.
It includes the switch, lights, cable between lights.
Print out this link from an online Ford dealer and see if they will match it. Price is $165 plus local taxes. Buying form Ford comes with a 2 year warranty.
For my 2012 the kit had switch and light sensor that mounted in the dash under a blank off plate, front and center. The wires for the sensor were plugged into the back of blank off plate. New switch has driving lamp and auto lamp. Never tried before installing driving lamps but the headlamps turn on with wipers, might have done it before but never tried.
Is it possible for you to give me the numbers for just the wiring harness? I don’t need the entire kit
I will see if I can see the part number on the wiring harness that goes from the plug that you show in the pictures to the fog lights themselves this weekend. I will let you know one way or another on that.
Aight Guys, I need some more of your expertise. I installed all the parts I ordered for my 2014 F250 which included the upfitter switches and associated cabling, relays, etc. I also installed the fog light wiring harness, the new light switch and the sensor for the Automatic headlights, none of which were factory on my truck. Everything went well, better than I anticipated even, and everything works, with one exception. The automatic headlights come on even in bright sunlight. When I go from the "on" position to the "auto" position, the headlights go out for about a second, then come back on. Is there any factory resets, computer programming, anything like that I need to do?
Open for any and all suggestions, y'all have steered me correctly so far. . .
The Fog Lights are working perfectly, even plugged straight into the wiring harness I bought. The issue is the Automatic headlights. I bought the sensor and attached it to the factory installed wiring, then changed out the Light switch to one that has the Automatic setting. Like I said, everything works, except the headlights are on even in daylight when in the Automatic setting. Is this still a configuration issue you think? I just looked at Forscan on Amazon. Is the $29 OBD2 connector all I need, or is there a program associated with it, and if so where would I find it?

Personally, I like the OHP brand. make sure you get the one with the HS/MS switch. go to https://forscan.org download the software to your windows PC, create a user account on the forum, wait for the admin to approve your account, then get an extended license so you can make programming changes. you will need to go into the BCM and set the ambient light sensor to enabled or present. you can also set the auto headlights so they stay on a certain amount of time after you exit the vehicle. I have this feature turned off on my truck.
Thanks for the response and the info. Is Forscan fairly idiot proof? I’d hate to really screw things up. Just out of curiosity, why have you got it turned off? Wouldn’t it be simpler just not to have the switch in the automatic position, or am I missing something?

FORScan seems pretty to easy to me. but some people can tear up an anvil..
My head headlight swtich stays in the AUTO setting and the headlights come on when needed. The feature I have turned off is the headlight auto delay. when you exit the vehicle, the headlights will stay on for a set amount of time, then automatically turn off.
