OCR - Operator Commanded Regen

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe on the Fleet trucks and XLT you have the option of doing a manual Regen. Was wondering if there is a way to get this feature added to my Lariat, kinda annoying that I have to continue driving to get a complete Regen complete. Seems to happen on my way home from work after I’ve worked all day and ready to get home. My truck is a daily driver with a commute of about 15 minutes to and from work.

I ordered it on my 17 F550, worth every penny IMO. I am looking at purchasing a 19 F250 6.7,not sure what year your's is,but i was pleased to find it's standard on 18 and up SD's (at least it states it on Ford's specs) That's what kills these prematurely IMO, clogged filter.

What year truck do you have? My dealer was able to enable the OCR through Ford software. Keep in mind this is a stationary regen and can only be performed when the filter is full.

Adding OCR can be done with Forscan. I had the dealer add it on my 18 F350 Limited. I haven’t had to use it yet as I do a lot of highway driving. The one thing that is annoying me is I also had the dealer add the DPF % screen and it always says 0%. It’s either the cold weather or I have been meeting the specifications for passive regeneration to keep % at 0. I’d bet it’s thebcood cause only once have I seen the screen with a read out other than zero and that was before we started this 3 month stretch of freezing weather and I do a couple hours of stationary idling a day.
