Need help figuring out this part and what it does.
I have a 94 ranger 4.0 OHV. I was around trying to find a leak coming from my braking system where i came across a line snapped off and it was running from that box shown in the image. Idk where the one that broke runs to but the other one runs to the engine. Is that box important and whats the purpose for it. Thank you in advanced.
That black box with two round **** like caps on top is a carbon canister. It is important because it helps you pass emission tests. It collects fuel/oil vapor and filters it in order to return the vapor/gas form back to the engine to burn.
