I just replaced my BedRug Bedliner with a new replacement BedRug Bedliner under warranty due to spilled hot used Diesel engine oil. The oil bubbled the carpet on the tailgate piece and stained it so BedRug agreed to warranty the 2.5 year old Bedliner.
After installing the new Bedliner and Andersen Ultimate 5th wheel hitch yesterday I torqued the top bolt to 60 ft-lbs. Today I mounted the 5th wheel with about 2600 lb pin weight. I loosened the 2 side bolts and then rechecked the top bolt torque and was very surprised how loose it was. It took almost 2 full turns before it reached 60:ft-lbs again with the weight of the trailer on the ball.
Andersen recommends to re-torque the top bolt after mounting the trailer, especially if you use any pad under the hitch.

above is the link from Andersen about using BedRug.
important informative safety post... plus what an amazing warranty from Bedrug.
I’m assuming you’d follow the same procedure with a rubber type bed mat.
