Hitch adjustment

After more than 20yrs of owning my trailer and having F350's to pull it around, I had to adjust the hitch today. I was hauling hay yesterday and when unloaded and crossing an up and down railroad crossing near my house, the trailer neck would just touch my tailgate. Put two scuffs on that plastic on top of the tailgate. I'm glad that's all it did. Put the tractor very forward on the trailer to make sure I got the hitch tight and it didn't slip. That is a lot of pin weight right there.

I have no idea how much a tractor and trailer like that weighs. Probably more than my toy hauler.
