Need insight and ideas plz.
i purchased an 05 escape 4wd last month . great shape and runs quite well. Problem is....
Between. 50 .- 60 mph, i get a very fast cycle vibration that seems to resonate lightly through out the vehicle. Yestetday i had all 4 tires ballanced and yet still does same thing.
i checked all wheel / hub bearings and all are smooth and no play. Chances of out of ballance / bent drive line .( S ) ??????
a lil advice plz ....?
TIA fellas !
Bob
The drive line components would be a good place to check for certain but I'm not familiar with the Escape---its it RWD? Even if not one of the CV joints could be wearing out and causing that vibration.
Also if FWD the motor mounts might have lost their rubber portion but typically that has a "clunk" associated when its moved into or out of gear.

Hope its nothing serious.
@ JWA . it is a 4wd. Awd. I pondered drive lines...
Need to lift and spin up some to see if wobble i guess
If it is a high frequency vibration look for an engine speed vibration as opposed to a wheel related vibration. Driveshaft, engine or engine driven component? If you let the vehicle 'coast down' out of gear, engine idling thru the vibration speed, what do you experience?
