Ok, since my bug shield was damaged in an accident, I'm going to need a new one. The one I had on it was low profile. I did like the looks of it very much, but I got big rock chips in my hood, that I never had a problem with when I had the 'taller' bug shield on there.
So....I'm trying to find one the doesn't stand too high, but helps prevent rock chips. Anyone have any suggestions?
I just ordered a EGR deflector for my 2003 F250. I had bought the EGR window deflectors and liked the quality, so i stayed with them for the hood deflector. I will post my results when it arrives and I install it.
I just ordered one from Autosport (autosportcatalog.com) for an F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab, but I won't be able to comment on its effectiveness for awhile. E-mail me in 6 months and I'll let you know how it worked out.
Wanted to order one for my 91' E-150 (old body style) but wanted one that was low-profile and curved around the side a tiny bit...like the ones for the newer model. I don't care for the ones that I see on most vans like mine, the ones with the straight piece of plastic. Any hints on who makes an attractive one.
I just installed my EGR deflector and i am really impressed. It uses existing holes in the hood to mount to. This makes installation and temporary removal real easy.
