Here we go again, same content different thread

im wanting to level out my truck 2017 f250 4wd 6.7.. I mainly keep it on the pavement except for when its deer season down in texas then that's when I use it to haul feed/protein to the feeders in the hill country. I don't want to break the bank but I also don't want to go the cheap route.. I want good shocks to go along with it so im opting for the fox shocks. I was thinking about taking it to a shop here in Houston but I don't want to get screwed and not like what I get or crappy parts. any help?

I went a BDS 2” leveling kit, with upgraded Fox 2.0’s, and the Fox steering stabilizer. Installed, with re-alignment, was around $1400 in Phoenix. A good quality system for a decent price.

Ps, since other posters are throwing shop plugs in, I’ll get mine in. In Phoenix, I went to AZ Truck Pros in Glendale. Joel has been in business since the 80’s, his boys do great work.

I've had a good experience twice with Texas Offroad & Performance in Manvel, TX (About 30-45 minutes south of Houston). It's a little hole in the wall place, but the guys that run it know their stuff. They stay busy so you'll want to call and get an appointment on the calendar, don't expect to just show up and get some work done unless you find them on an rare slow day.

Do your research and find what kit you want, figure out what the best price is online. Send a link to them and ask for a quote for that kit + install. They'll meet or beat the price you find and will do the install for about $475. They offer a 5% cash discount as well. Plenty of threads on here to educate you on levels, lifts, etc. and keep you busy if you search - so won't repeat what's already been said there.

*I am in now way affiliated with TOaP, just had a good experience twice now and they were so reasonable compared to the other Houston area offroad shops in terms of price (they'll meet or beat the cheapest online prices typically) and their install/labor rates are also reasonable.

I also had a positive experience with them when I got my spacer / shocks installed.

leveling kits are pretty straight forward. Make sure you get it aligned after the work is completed.

I dont have any pictures, sorry. I’m out of country for about two weeks, I’ll try to remember. I did measure the wheel well height before and after. With a true 2” lift, I still have 1-1/2” rake, which is fine with me. Will not be nose up pulling my bass boat or other small trailers.

As as far as the ride with the Fox 2.0s, it’s very good. They are a little firmer, but much smoother, if that makes sense. I haven’t had much off-roading since I got it, but it really smooths out the washboards.

Just to be clear....you added the 2" in front AND put a 2" shorter block in the rear? If so, what blocks did you use for the rear? (1" PMF?)

Haven't had time or reason to get it on the road yet, as it sits in the photo the truck still has less than 300 miles on it and the lift & tires were done yesterday at about 280 miles.

Toledo,

Here is my 2019 with a 3.5" spacer level that TOaP installed. The ride is pretty damn equivalent to stock. The included radius arm drop brackets provide plenty of caster for stock-like steering/ride (unlike most 2.5" kits, unless you follow up with proper caster cams). I am very happy with it - there is zero bump steer and my wheel snaps back on hard turns. The kit is the "rugged offroad" 3.5" leveling kit, identical in every way (except parts are a different finish) to the ReadyLift 3.5" SST kit (3.5" pucks, RA drop brackets, TB relocation bracket, brake line relocation brackets, sway bar drop brackets, bump stop extensions, etc.). TOaP says these are made in the same factory, just sold under a different brand than the "ReadyLift" name for a cheaper price. I think I paid $650 installed. Has shock extensions in the front, but as soon as I decide what shocks I want to go with (No, won't be Fox 2.0s - those were terrible in my 2018) - I'll replace those with longer shocks.

^^^^That is a kick-a$$ good looking truck. Every time I see a truck with 18" wheels I am reminded why I should have ordered with the 18" wheels. I guess vanity got the best of me. But I really like seeing some good sidewall
on a tire because it works much better with the suspension that way.
