*Edit* Im brand new to the forum so please let me know if im posting in the wrong area. Thanks
Im looking to get a 94 IDI crew cab, I have a 1974 C3 Corvette Convertible that Id be willing to trade if anyone is interested. I currently have a 2015 Duramax but I'd like to get rid of it and switch to an older diesel, I dont tow much and dont need all those horseys and torque. I really want a 94 IDI, just something thats all mechanical not like todays diesels with all the computers and electronics.
The car is in beautiful condition. Im the second owner, I bought it form Ohio Corvettes and Muscle Cars https://www.corvettesandmusclecars.com/ (A big collector in North Canton Ohio). Its got roughly 36,000 miles on it. Automatic with an L82 (Makes more horsepower than a stock IDI)
Even willing to trade and add cash if necessary. The car was bought for 20k in April 2018, and I know its worth darn close to it.
Id like a nice rust free truck (Im in Upstate NY) Prefer an automatic with Overdrive.. If you arent willing to trade Im still in the market and would love to see your truck and talk about the possibility of buying with cash.
The OBS IDIs with the E4OD had the EEC IV computer to control the transmission. If you want ZERO electronics you might want to consider an OBS with the ZF5, or an older truck that doesn't have the E4OD.
Sorry I should have cleared that up with wanting over drive, im fine with having the computer to control that. but not something like todays diesels with all sorts of electronics everywhere you turn.
I'd be careful if I were you. I see plenty of mint condition obs powerstrokes asking around 15k, with a turbo and more power it would be hard for me to think an idi is worth more..

Oh absolutely I agree. Which is why i thibk it would be a good deal for someone looking to trade and get something new. But if I have too il sell the Corvette itself. Just figured Id throw this deal out there.
