Question V10 Crate motor

Anyone know what a new V10 crate motor would sell for? I just seen one on ebay with a starting bid of $2800.

Haha, I saw the same motor, even e-mailed the guy. I guess a call to Ford would answer that question. But $2800 seems like a no-brainer if someone needed one. Personally I'd buy that hot-rodded V-10 from that guy in Colorado. I bet he'd take close to that amount.

Just curious, as my V10 is rapidly approching 100K (no problems yet but just want to be armed with as much info as possible for when the time comes). If someone could find out a price and post it I would appreciate it. I would call myself, but I am currently stuck in North Africa and cannot make outgoing calls on this wonderful sat comm system that we have out here. If anyone knows of a website, I obviously have access to the net.

Sure, what do you need, the E-Bay motor ? The hot rod V-10 guy ? Or how exactly can I help ?

Just wanting to know the retail price of a new V10 crate motor. I figure that there will not be one on ebay when the time comes that I'll need one.

I will see what I can find out, maybe I'll call the local Ford stealership and see if they offer such a thing. Maybe the SVO website or Roush racing ? I dunno, I'll look and post it here for ya's. Take care bro,

One of these places, Powerpro had a V-10 Ford motor, but there's some others who can try, hope this helps.

I once investigated buying a reman'd Ford 5.4, would run me about $2700 delivered to my shop of choice. Jasper was about the same money, similar warranty but for some reason the Ford seemed a better deal.

Not sure I'd want a complete motor from eBay---what happens if there's a warranty issue? Or is a warranty even available?

I paid $7400 for a long block from Ford, installed at the Ford dealer. Came with 3 years unlimited mileage. Runs better than the original, now have 30k on it. Still using the Mike's 5 Star in 89 performance /tow.

the ford reman is the best, unless you are experienced at assmbly and have a great machine shop, I would say Jasper is next.
