Box lighting

Does anyone know if it’s possible to make the box lighting stay on until switched off? Right now when I drive over 3 mph it turns off. I do a lot of night work and would like them to stay on. Thanks

Install your own LEDs for $20 with a switch. Can power them on without keyed power and they'll stay on until you turn them off.

I have some LED strips to install. Where did you tap 12v? My meter quit and haven't bought a new one...

I ran it up to the battery, so I could turn them on with or without the truck running.

thats why I’m thinking about doing. I originally wanted them to come on with the stockbed lights but they aren’t running off of 12v.

Yeah the stock ones are kind of crap. They are in a remote spot and they are only 6v. There's a plug on the frame about mid way back that you might have, it's for the powered steps. That might work if you want it automatic, but you won't have a switch then, it's be auto only.
