Certificate missing with camper package

My truck didn’t come with the certificate for the camper package. I’m pretty sure there is some sort of documentation that is included, but I have no idea.
I wasn’t going to not close the deal on the truck because the document was missing, but I would like to have it, if there is supposed to be one. The dealer is either playing dumb or they don’t know what it really is.
So if anybody who has the camper package along with the paper certificate could you post a photo so I can show the dealer.

Thanks guys for the info, I sent the dealer a copy of the certificate and hope that should get the ball rolling.
It is amazing to me how much more informed members of this forum are about these trucks then those that sell them.

Call Ford Customer Service, give them your VIN, and they’ll email a pdf of your vehicle-specific camper cert to you.

What exactly does this certification provide? Will a camper dealer deny a sale if you don't have said certification? Are LEO's pulling trucks with slide-in and verifying they have a proper certificate?

Just curious what the concern is,

The CC provides as-built vehicle-specific information for a range of slide-in camper weights and center-of-gravity placement locations in the truck bed. The final specs are based on individual truck configuration and options.

The CC for our 2019 F350 is attached. Note that the 3055 lbs. maximum camper weight spec is different than our truck’s 3912 lbs. maximum payload spec. The camper weight spec includes a 750 lbs. allowance for five passengers including the driver (5 x 150 lbs./person = 750 lbs.). I don’t have an explanation for the missing 107 lbs. (3912 - 3055 - 750 = 107).

Jim / crewzer

Ordered two SuperDuties with the camper package and neither came with the certificate. Both window stickers showed the camper package option as ordered. Past posts seem to show some get them sent with their trucks and some don't. It sounds like it's easy to have the dealer request the paper from Ford and many have done that. I don't see what benefit there is in having the paper since the truck includes the option and if it was ever needed to prove you have the camper package the VIN/vehicle history of the truck would show it built that way. I sure wouldn't kill a deal because it wasn't with the truck. Like somebody else said nobody is gonna check you and ask to see the paper. As a previous Arctic Fox truck camper owner (heavy beast) you won't know all the weights and measurements until you actually see and weigh your camper. RV factory stickers are meaningless until you are weighed wet and loaded. The biggest units don't give you a lot of wiggle room either on camper placement in the the truck. The COG mark on the camper isn't always correct either. I made sure I was within published weights for my truck from the owners manual and door stickers.

I did what Jim / crewzer suggested and contacted Ford customer service and in two days Ford emailed me the Camper certificate. So how does Ford figure what size weight wise you can carry? My payload is 4200 lbs. Sorry this is not my camper certifcate and I don't know how to delete it.

The Camper Certificate’s” “maximum” cargo weight rating allows for 150 lbs. in each seat. Assuming you have six seats, your CC’s max weight spec will be approximately 4200 - (6 x 150) = ~3300 lbs., with an adjustment for he weight of mandatory options (I.e., camper package hardware)

Is that 4200 lbs. spec from your truck’s load label on the truck’s driver side B pillar?

Our truck model’s official maximum payload spec is 4200 lbs. However, that assumes a base model truck with essentially no options. Our truck’s as-built payload spec is 3912 lbs,, but our camper cert’s max weight spec is 3055 lbs., There’s an 857 lbs. difference.

750 of those 857 lbs. are a weight allowance for the driver and passengers (5 x 150 = 750 lbs.). I don’t know where the final 107 lbs. is hiding, but I’d like to believe that it’s an allowance for the weight of tie-down hardware, a spacer block, and a bed mat.

Finally, Ford uses yet another maximum camper weight spec in the RV and Trailer Towing Guide. For our truck, it’s 3373 lbs., which I presume is for a five-seater version of our F350 6.2 4x2 CCSB with the optional camper package but otherwise minimally equipped.

Jim, my max payload is 4206, I have the center console so just 5 seats. The camper certificate max wt is 3356. I have a 850 lb payload difference. Sounds like that number (850) is the common number in the equation. I took my truck to the scale to confirm it’s base weight. Total wt is 7260, front is 4280, rear is 2960. I haven’t checked my tire air pressure yet but I see on the door sticker that Ford recommends 60f/80r. It seems that when empty I could lower the rear at least to what the front pressure is.

Yes, it looks like the 850 lbs. difference accounts for five occupied seats (5 x 150 = 750 lbs.) plus the ~100 lbs. magical mystery variable.

My take is that if you reduce the passenger weight, then you can correspondingly increase the camper weight as long as you keep the camper’s loaded CoG over or a little ahead of the rear axle axis.

Without using FORscan to lower your truck’s TPMS settings, you can probably air down to ~50F and ~65R (both cold) without setting off the TPMS warning telltale. I use similar settings on our truck when running “light”, so far without upsetting the TPMS nanny.

I wish Ford would offer your truck’s tire size on our 4x2, as it would increase our truck’s official GVWR and payload by at least 400 lbs.
