Trailer brakes question

2018 f-350
brand new Neo enclosed snowmobile trailer twin dexter never adjust axles
Ive got 3500 miles on it already and have towed it on 4-5 different trips
couple issues
I noticed on this last trip on the way up north that the trailer brakes gain was set to 3.5 and any higher setting would lock them up if you squeezed manual control
On the way back from trip and or somewhere in between I noticed they weren’t working as strong as they used to. I turn the gate all the way up to 10 and when I would squeeze the brake controller it would barely engage.

second issue
I noticed my interior lights on the trailer weren’t working when hooked up to truck and running and after doing some research I had a blown fuse under the hood
I ordered one from Napa
trailer breakaway battery inside the trailer is reading 12.3 V but I realize it’s not getting charged because of that blown fuse
So does the brakes and the fuse have anything in Common do you think?
I guess I’ll find out tomorrow when I replace the fuse under that hood but it’s on my mind
wonder if there’s some other issue going on
thanks
Dan

I just fixed a NEO V-nose trailer electrical problem last fall, not charging the battery. It turned out to be a broken / loose connection where they made all the connections inside the trailer, behind the trailer brake away box in the "V". I did notice how bad the connections where and had a different one come apart when I was fixing the other.. Might not be your problem but a suggestion.
