I'm wanting a high power 460 build that can run pump gas. You guys think this kit would be good for my application? (https://www.summitracing.com/parts/edl-2045) I'm pretty much just wanting to do the top end, and all the gaskets/seals and that's about it. I'm not really interested in stroking it, or doing anything to the bottom end because I'm limited on how much I will spend on the motor, so that i can have money left to use elsewhere on the truck.
1993 ford f-250 4x4 with bullnose front clip, carbed 460, ZF-5 tranny and front solid dana 50 out of '99 super duty, and sterling 10.5 axle out of '01 super duty, 4-wheel disc brakes, 6 inch lift.
If you are ok taking a substantial hit on torque, that's a good kit. It's not going to be the stump puller it is now....but it'll haul *** when you ask it to.
That kit with a 550 stroker would be amazing, of course that isn't what you wanted to hear.
