All of my suspension parts are new, or less than a year old. Axle shaft seals are new along with the u joints which are greasable. Why do I have a random clunk again in my front end? It seems to be coming from the driver side. My axle shaft has some PLAY in it like it got moved forward a bit? Maybe the seals were not put in all the way? The lock washers have a little space when they shouldn’t. This started 3 days ago. The wheel hub assembly is a year old as well as the lock out hubs. So can anyone help me or shed some light before I just tear it apart and replace the seals again and possibly the wheel hub assembly as well? I take really good care of my truck and make sure there is never a noice or anything. All suspension parts are moog. The shocks are bilstein 5100’s sway bar bushings are new moog as well as the sway bar end links. So I don’t know what the hell it could be. Except those seals.

it happens in two wheel or 4 wheel. The T-case is new as well. It’s a clunk noise like something is loose. The driver side axle shaft has play in it when it shouldn’t.
Mine has always had play in it. It's a long shaft with minimal support so it's going to move a bit.
it’s the short one on the driver side not the long one on passenger side. The long one has no play to it at all. My end links are new as well as the bushings to the sway bar itself.
Mine did to but just a tiny bit when I had the seals done but after hitting a major pot hole it has a lot of play but the wheel hub assembly is new so are the ball joints. So I think it popped out of the seal a little bit making it so that I don’t think the seals were put in correctly in the first place. You might change your seals and see if that helps you as well I have to wait to do mine
