Took delivery in Jan/19 on a 2018 Lariat and forgot to ask the dealer if the frozen door lock/latch recall applies to it, or if the issue was factory corrected. Does anyone know? My 2016 had to go in twice for door latch issue TSBs.
Yes. My 2018 has been back now a total of 3 times trying to deal with the issue. Twice for the drivers door not latching and once for the front passenger not opening or unlocking.
The latest available TSB is 19-2007 that was released in late January.
Just dropped my 2018 off at the dealer for lock problems. Affects all four doors which intermittently (though frequently) lose power lock functions (though they are easily actuated by hand).
I received both email and snail mail copies from Ford indicating there is a tsb for the frozen door issues. Put it in the file and never thought about it again. Why? I live in the Pacific Northwest and never figured it would get cold enough to be an issue. Guess what, I was wrong. During recent snowstorms and cold weather temps dropped into the teens. Went out to go get something and the truck key fob wouldn’t unlock either door on the passenger side. Key worked but after opening the door didn’t want to stay shut. After a few tries the door stayed closed and locked. I contacted the dealership and have an appointment to address. Of course the weather is warm now and the issue hasn’t happened since. I will be letting them know I’m headed to North Dakota and if they don’t make the fix they will be liable in the event of any issues. Hoping I don’t have to go to that degree but it scared me when the doors would open and then wouldn’t stay closed.
The truck is a 2018 screw.

I got my locks repaired last fall without any problems from the dealership. Just show them the letter. The dealership might grumble as the repair is a PITA. It takes two days to complete. I live in the Seattle area too and I can attest the repair works great. Didn’t have any problems during that week of fun.
Haven't had any issues with my wife's '18 yet but it sits in the garage when she's not working or using it. It does sit outside in the elements while at work though and last weekend she stayed in town all weekend due to the storm coming and it got a mix of freezing rain and 12" of snow with no issues.

When I went to pick up the other day after the 19-2007 TSB, 3/4 of the door locks were frozen again. They took the truck back in, disassembled each mechanism, blew it out and packed with XG3A silicone grease. Let the truck sit outside over night again, and now 4/4 door locks function great.

i think that is what they did to mine. They said that was part of the official fix.
Any dealer that doesn't know about the latch issue is an idiot, but that describes most vehicle salesmen. That said they will never tell you that any year from 2015 to the truck made today is subject to the latches freezing issue. Here we go again ......................
