Been a while since I have posted here. Hello again. I need to replace the front bed support on my F250 Styleside. I have checked the usual places on the web and have found nothing. It looks like I will have to get a sheet metal shop to manufacture one for me unless any one of you knowledgeable individuals have a line on where I can buy one. Thanks for any info you might have. Steve
I have never seen that support for sale as a reproduction. Try this website Flashback F100's - Home
you will need to call or e-mail him to inquire whether he has the part or not.
If you are talking about the one at the very front I had that stuff made for my bed. You need to find a shop that has a press break big enough to bend the metal without putting a bow in it. If my memory serves me I believe the front cross sill was 13ga. and the bulkhead was 16ga. If it is the front one, that is only one that does not require that joggle to be in it nor does the bulkhead need the joggle. All you need is some flat bar shims on top of the cross sill ends to raise the corner pieces up to the same height as the bed floor. I can't find a picture of the cross sill but here is one of the repair to the bulk head.
10610. I thought of the shims as cropduater explained. If the part is unobtanium, I will proceed with the manufacture. Thanks for the gauge input. Steve
***Carolina Classics recently introduced a reproduction front bed panel, and it comes with the floor brace, so I expect you may be able to buy the floor brace separately, but you'd have to check with them to verify........
