Pillar Gauge Pods?
I need to decide on gauge as well, I will most likely go with autometer but just haven't decided on which one specifically. One I keep looking at goes 100*F to 250*F cause I figured I wouldn't want it to ever go 250*F considering that from all the reading Ive done 200*F is about the max.
The other thing is I don't know sensor mounting either. Part of me wants to mount the sensor in the transmission pan itself. Instructions that has the inline Tee wants you to mount it in the return hardline but I kind of think reading pan temp is better as it tells me what the transmission is actually pulling in for use temp wise.
Find a pillar molding does not have to be in great shape just pretty good shape.
Then using a little from the video make the "cans" like he did. You can make as many as you want or need.
Fit the molding to the pillar and with hot glue bun & cans in hand fit the can(s) to the molding.
Once you have the can(s) glued in place pull the molding off the pillar.
Now the fun begins, using fiber glass you can mold the can(s) to the molding.
Look at sound systems videos on making enclosures using rosin & flees blankets if the glass sheeting does not work. This may be the way to go.
Then finish off with body filler, prim & paint to match the truck and install with gauges.
Sound easy right?

I went ahead and ordered the AutoMeter 2 1/16" gauge cup going to see how it looks on the pillar and under the dash. Its only $26 so its not like a huge loss if I end up not using it.
