What is this space really for?

What is the space for? I originally thought it was where the wiper fluid bottle went, due to the hose running to that spot. Then I realized I never thought about the filthy bottle attached to the wheel well. Is that the washer fluid bottle? I am a little retarded right now on the account of a few broken limbs, otherwise I'd get in there and figure it all out. Which I look forward to doing in a couple months. I laugh because there has always been a bottle or two in that location on just about all the old Ford trucks I remember.

That space on most trucks is taken up by the jack, which is held down by the strap you can see in the pic.
Otherwise, it's occupied by this...

… generally found on '73-'79 trucks with the dual battery option but also fits back to '67. Very scarce nowadays.
I'm sure Bill can find us a number and whether they were an option on the bumps.

Dual batteries were not available for F100/350 until 1973.

Even if the tray is rusted I get them whenever i find them in the salvage yards. The tray itself is reproduced and the reversed brackets can be welded to a new tray... or the old tray repaired. EZ.

Thank you. Happy that I dont need to get a washer fluid bottle. The jack would be a cool addition though.
