I have to disagree with most of these posts. I worked in a truck sales org in the late 50's early 60's. the tool you have works best, however you have to develop a feel for when it is contacting the right spot or groove and clip. once you get the hang of it, the tool works great. it helps if you can visualize the clip and groove you have to catch and push out. occasionally you get a jimmied clip and then it is a problem. when you reinstall use good or new clips.
Small screwdriver and pick is the only way

The passenger side (right side) vent window has a broken pivot post and glass. I was able to get the glass out of the vent window and drilled the pivot post rivets out. All the books have vent seal fronts and vent seal backs. I am assuming that those are the rubber seals around silver frame and the black glass frame. Question: the glass looks like it was held in the black metal frame with a rubber gasket or something but I don’t see that in any of the books. It was very difficult getting the glass out of that frame. Maybe I just run a bead of 3m sealer around it?
