Looking to replace my Generac portable generator with a Briggs and Stratton engine that finally gave out after 18 years. Primarily used during power outages which occur about twice a year. I tend to take customer comments and ratings into consideration and it does not appear the newer brands get high reviews. Not sure if it would be an issue, the house receptacle is a NEMA 4 prong and I am finding most newer models, if they do have the NEMA outlet are of the 3 prong variety. Looking for suggestions and/or comments and would like to stay around $500 for at least a 3500 watt output. Looking for a reputable brand with good customer support where parts and repairs will not be an issue. Thank you!!
Honda Inverter generator: Reputable small engine and saw shop carries the Honda brand. Prefer new however they have a used E22001 and companion E22001 at a very reasonable price I am considering? By reading customer reviews can make one's decision difficult.
The Honda units are good units but still are plagued with inverter issues and Honda won't sell direct the replacement it has to go through a dealer. We had tons of these at work and they have all been slowly replaced with the predator inverter generators.
