what should i keep??

I picked this up for the interior, doors, tailgate and possibly other things off CL. As I look at this it is a clean 5.0 EFI....
The tranny puked and it has fuel issues. Before i send to pickup heaven should I be thinking about keeping more off of it.
I got a set of heated leather Super Duty seats as well but this kinda has me thinking what else I could use

I should maybe ad more detail, I have an 82 f250 and I am swapping interiors. I jsut came across this when I was looking for a set of seats. The interior is pretty good and mind is pretty bad and I am wondering if the 5.0 injection or anything else might be wroth swapping
No one has any feedback or did I do something wrong here?

Hard to really say without knowing what your goals are. You could swap a lot of the parts but how complete or seamless the final result determines the effort involved. A lot of it is dependent on taste and preference. In the very least you could part it out and get your money back.

Got the interior stripped out. I mocked up the superduty seats for fun but I decided not to use them.
FYI the Captains chairs from and 92 f150 ext cab will NOT swap directly to an 82 f250 ext cab. The mounting hole are all off by several inches. The driver rear mount lands right in the middle of the CPU looking thing under the drivers seat. What is that anyway??

I figured you were just using the board as advertising to sell parts or the whole truck. I can't believe a truck that nice is going to be scrapped. You can't find them in the east like that with no rust. I would put it on craigslist or facebook, I am sure someone would buy it from you.

The cpu looking thing is likely a cb unit. Is there a mic or mic mount under the dash to the right of the steering wheel?

We dont have salt/rust out here so things last practically forever. I have always wondered why people from areas with rust do not come out here or why we do not ship vehicles back. My 1982 does not have a speck of rust underneath and when I want to take a screw or a bolt off I have a 99.9% chance of not using a torch and not discovering that whatever it was is never going together again.
as for what I am doing with the truck.
I paid 800 for it and I am thinking grizzly Adam's on the outside and the greatest man in the world from dos equis on the inside.
just plush and smooth....

You said the truck has a 5.0 EFI?
If so where is the computer for the EFI?
If it is for a CB and you don't see a mic wonder were it would plug in then?
Was it part of the radio and it was swapped out and why no mic?

If you have the space to keep the engine and transmission those are high value items. Is the 92 4x4?

Everything? That is one clean truck. Anyway the bumpers are getting harder to find. Doors, Wheels, Cowl vent, ....sell it for parts at least.

I took the interior so far and I am think I am keeping the motor as well. Not sure what I am doing with it yet but there is always something. I think it might go to a ****** project I have or for fuel inject the trucks 5.8

Its 2wd so it does not do me much good for the chassis

You do know converting to 4x4 is a bolt in correct? All you would need is the frontend parts and a 4x4 tranny and transfer case. If you need the frame for another project, there is no difference in it except the 4x4 has 3 inch wide rear leaf springs and the 2x4 has 2.5 wide rear leaf springs.
