Since I would anticipate the turnout being comparatively small, 8 to 10 trucks, I suggest a lunch/dinner sort of thing. I know Rudy's, in Harrington, hosts car shows during the summer. I'm sure we could get them to permit us on their PL some Saturday. Say, 10 to 2. That way we could do lunch in the restaurant. Harrington is pretty central to the sate and not far from the Md state line. Actually only about 15 miles from Denton.
I like that idea, George. Meddings, on a Tuesday evening. The cruise-ins usually start in late April and run through September. It would be great to take the place over with Ford Trucks. They usually have dedicated nights for various vehicles, "truck night, Corvette night, Chevy night, Ford night, etc. I'd be up for invading any one or more nights. Truck night and Ford night would be most appropriate.
If it were closer to the "bridge" we could do a combined !
At 8 mpg and only a 10 gallon tank/cell, I would have to refuel, just to get home from the bridge!!
That said, I can support that too. The problem I see, people who live North of Kent County, in De. will look at traveling to, say Denton, as a long drive. The same with people from Maryland would view traveling to Milford. I think a joint GTG is a good idea, but it needs to be a day long thing. Because of the travel time. What about contacting some of the Ford dealers and asking them to support a show? That way it would be a day long event and people might not be too reluctant to drive to it.
Hey Everyone!!!! anything during the week can be tough for me but I could give it a shot, honestly my show days are over and same for the truck at this point. I will keep an eye on the thread and try to make whatever you guys set up just to hang with everyone again but unfortunately right now my trucks are at least 5th on my priority list... This really doesn't show well these days LOL...

Perhaps a combined GTG later in the summer on a weekend ? A thought.

A Saturday at one of the dealers? I think that would work out quite well. We just approach it as a "show" as opposed to a "get together". I think a dealer would be more likely to support an, "All for Truck Show", as opposed to an FTE meet and greet. Of course, if we call it a show, we would kind of have to have categories and prizes, along with opening it up to any and all.On the other hand, that may be a way to generate more interest in this forum.
