Anyone have any experience installing LED tails and backup lights for a 15+ with BLIS? Tons of videos on line (and it's so simple I'm not sure why you would need them) but nothing with BLIS. Pulled the housing off and the only thing I can see would be to remove the 6 screws to remove the red lens to get to the bulbs - maybe

Was just reading on another site that the rear light assemblies with Blis are non-serviceable... So, one pays extra for either the Blis system or a higher level trim that includes it and one can't service them if a LED goes bad. You have to replace the whole assembly. Nice job Ford......

The same thing applies to the OEM Quad Beam LED headlights on F150`s.
Also, it`s not just a "Ford" issue.
Modern exterior OEM LED lighting assemblies on most if not all brands of vehicles require the entire assembly to be replaced if they fail.
It`s a good thing that Ford has the standard halogen option as well as the LED option.

Yep. The dealer had to replace both of my LED headlamps under warranty on my '17 Lariat. They were $1,300 EACH. That alone might be enough incentive to purchase an extended warranty.

Eye Yi Yi. That alone would incentivize me to buy a SET of aftermarket equivalents for < $500.
One can't get the halogen's once you go above the 502A Lariat.
Not true.......OEM LED headlights on the F150 start on the 502A package and above trim levels.
The Lariat 501A package still has halogen headlights.
Another feature is true 4WD which is only offered on the Lariat and above trim levels.
Very ingenious way that Ford gets people to step up to certain trim levels or packages to get specific or desirable features.

You need to re-read my post. I said once you go past the 502A Lariat, halogens are no longer a choice. LED's are standard equipment on the 502A Lariat and up.
Two questions that inquiring minds would like to know......
(1) If the OEM LED headlights were a standalone option and could be added to any trim level, how much would you guys be willing to pay for them and please, be realistic.
(2) Knowing the cost of replacement OEM LED headlights and if they were standard across every trim level, but there was an option to go with halogens for no charge or even a discount of $500.00 dollars, how many of you would opt for the halogens.
