I did the soft reset (hold down the power and the right forward button) and the master reset thru the menu. Isthere another method I'm missing?
Nope, those are the two.
Other than that, what some have done is disconnect the negative battery terminal for 15-30 minutes.
Regardless of which one is used, I don`t think it`s a permanent fix because the problems will soon return.

I`m not sure if you want to do this but when I use Apple CarPlay and run everything through my iPhone, everything works perfectly via the SYNC 3 system.
I can`t speak for Android Auto owners so perhaps some will chime in.

Sync 3 controls a lot more than what apple can do so this is not an alternative.

I was only talking about the Infotainment system. With that being said, my APIM still hasn`t been replaced so when I use CarPlay, everything works just as if I was using SYNC 3. The only reason I need to switch back over to SYNC is when I want to turn on the heated steering wheel in the climate settings.
Unless I`m missing something and excluding what I mentioned about the heated steering wheel, what can`t be done with CarPlay that can be done using the SYNC 3 system.
Occasionally my Sync 3 will do the spinning / loading thing after I start the truck. If I click power off and back on, it turns on properly. I always figured that it was just a glitch on startup. I guess that I should mention this the next time that I visit my dealer. I do not have navigation.
