Fuel pump not running

i have a 07 e150 4.6, won’t start not getting gas. Checked fuses, relay, button in kick panel, replaced crank sensor and fuel pump. Got a code p0191(fuel rail sensor) so it seems it could be rail sensor or fuel driver module. Pump is not running they are both $100 any body with advice I would appreciate it. I just through $300 away on a fuel pump.

Eric,
Step 1. Stop firing the parts cannon. It wastes time and money.

Step 2. Follow the code. You have a code for a fuel rail sensor, so test it.

Thank you I will, I didn’t have a scanner until today so after I got the code I went online and there was post leaning both ways. I don’t know how to test it.

Take a look at my first post. See where it says, "test it."? See how it's underlined, and a different color? That means it's a hyperlink. Click on it.

A P0191 can only be set while the engine is running. The P0191 code is probably a result of the original failure of the operation of the fuel pump (unless the battery was disconnected or the PCM was reset). If the fuel pump doesn't run, of course the pressure at the rail is going to be out of limits.

Diagnose the "no fuel pump" problem first. That means analyzing the WHOLE pump activation system to determine where the breakdown occurs. That does NOT mean firing the "parts cannon" and wasting more money and time, it means evaluating the function of the SYSTEM from beginning to end and seeing where it fails.

It was the driver module. At first it still wouldn’t start and I’m like not again, so it must take a little while until the air is out of the line. Thank you for the help.
