I keep getting a leak from the Bypass hose that goes from the water pump to the intake. I put a new hose on it. An actual heater hose, so that should be right. I think it may be coming from where the tube goes in the intake. I have considered taking it out and cleaning up the threads and putting sealer on and screwing it back in. Is it threaded? Thoughts?
It's drove in. I'd think you would have noticed if it was rotted out when you changed the hose. It's just a piece of tubing and you have to take the pump off to change it, they are just too close together. It's a pia. Any shop can pump your rad. up with a psi tester so you can see if that is where it's coming from, only takes a few minutes. I got the last one I replaced from Summit, but I'd bet your local parts store could get one through Dorman or some other company. I put a little Honda Bond around it and in the hole. That stuff dries like cement.
is honda bond another nickname for JB weld or is it an actual thing lol
It's real. It is for sealing 2 stroke cases. You can get it off Ebay or from a Honda shop. It's the only sealer I know of that seals anything from gas to hydraulic oil.
