Hello i need help i have a 2001 ford f250 superduty with the 5.4 triton the truck has roughly 220,000 miles on it . The engine runs great doesnt use any oil or over heat no ticking or shuttering its really smooth and no check engine lights . I have had the truck for about 4 years now and about 2 years ago it started blowing heater cores
i have rplaced the heater core 8 times now in 2 years . Roughly about every three months it blows . I have replaced the heater core / heater core hoses / thermostat /water pump /upper and lower rad hoses / replaced radiator cap twice /flushed radiator numerous times / installed a restrictor / replaced all of the foam around the heater core and made sure it doesnt bounce around / tried swapping the hoses around from in and out on the heater core . I have made sure to be super careful when installing the heater core . I have also tried 2 different temp thermostats. Im beating my head agianst a wall and need some guidance lol. When ever i install the heater cores they always work awesome until they explode up onto the windshield
I'd guess your post won't get much response as many folks go looking for places to help and often pass by the New Member Introductions. I'd suggest posting in "1999 to 2016 Super Duty" to get some answers flowing.
