Adding additional sender for external oil temp
Since I will be towing the Jeep at high elevations 5-14K ft I wanted the critical A pillar gauges: EGT, EOT, Trans. Dash will get coolant temp, fuel pressure and boost.
I initially was thinking about adding a T to the OEM port on the back of the HPOP reservoir but that would be a huge pipe contraption. New plan is to add the T down at the oil cooler pressure port where I will tie in the oil bypass filter.
Trans temp I will use the port on the side of the transmission.
Coolant temp will be sensor will be plumbed into a port on the coolant filter.
Fuel pressure sender added to the CNC Fab 4 way T at the fuel bowl.
EGT mounted to underside of drivers side manifold.
Boost has a sensor in the intake.
Yes I know EOT is avail via OBDii but I wanted it up on the A pillar. I am waiting for Banks to release the iDash 1.8 Data Monster for the 7.3 in 90 days or so. It can display like 8 gauges at once which I will use for secondary monitoring.
Thoughts, concerns recommendations?
