My 2017 doesn’t have them either....so I don’t know when they stopped. I’m sure it was the day before they built my truck.
Of course, I wouldn’t look at the lights anyways, I do it by memory and feel.
My 2015 XLT lights up. But I never look at that, since there isn’t a contrasting light to show which position it’s in. I’ve learned to look at the dash display for that.
Does anyone know if the shift indicators on the console are suppose to light up during night driving/headlights? 2018 F-150XLT Sport. Thanks!
2016 F150 Lariat owner here and yes, mine lights up but it doesn`t indicate which position the transmission is in.
I guess it makes sense because the indicator is on the display right in front of the driver and it would be a bit redundant and unsafe for the driver to be looking at the console for the transmission position if he or she is in motion.
Just my opinion.
