Changing top
Got some work to do on the old fiberglass top before I put it on my van,
But I need advice on sealants . Butal tape is what I know but what else?
Was attached with sheetrock screws but there must be something better.
Thanks
You'll want to use a slow curing sealant/adhesive, a product that remains flexible after curing due the different expansion coefficients of the dissimilar materials. Also something that gives you a longer working time--too many similar products promise short working times in order to speed the process in commercial body shops. I've been reading a lot about products from Dicor---research them a bit to see what's offered and workable for you.

Thanks, I forgot about Dicor,
I use it on my camper and it's good stuff.
