I'm trying to repair a broken retainer, but I haven't been able to find anything like this. It pushes into the frame and holds a wiring connector up against the frame. Can anybody tell what this part is actually called? (Sorry about the picture size, I don't know how to resize them.)
Those are all the tape-on style of retainers. The one I'm looking for slides into a set of fingers on the outside of a multipin wiring connector and locks there. No taping required.
But thanks for the suggestions. I've been able to find lots of tape on styles, but not a single one that works like the one shown. What's worse, is that I know every manufacturer uses them, I just can't seem to get the search string right to find them!
Yes, that's lots closer, it should be the reverse of what I'm looking for. I'll have to look at all my deutsch stuff to see if anything is close. Thanks for the detective work!!
So I finally remembered to take a look at my deutsch stuff tonite. It's close, but no cigar. I also called the folks at clips and fasteners .com and they knew what I was talking about, but had never found a source for them. So it looks like I'm going to try to have to find what I want in a junkyard. Thanks for the help, even if we didn't find it!
