1954 MH on CL
For you Marmon-Herrington fans, here is a Craigslist posting I found in Anchorage Alaska. It says it runs and drives....

That’s been listed before. It’s real, but modified pretty heavy. He’s asking too much for my values, especially being in AK.
Here’s another now on CL. But it has an extra “0” behind the “$4”. Stu

Now why didn't he put in a reproduction floor mat?

$94.95 from Mid Fifty to be exact Stu! I know, I just put mine in. It is a very nice Truck and IMO is a little over priced but not far off based on what I now know! LOL

Doesn’t seem like a lot to spend to clean up one final detail, does it?
is it worth $45k? So few 3/4 ton M-Hs have been restored I think it’s hard to say. This one is done to a very original standard, unlike the two 1952s that were sold on eBay a year or two ago. Those two sold in the high $30s, iirc, and came from our Michigan friend’s collection. This one came from MT, now in VA. I don’t know who restored it, or who has it now.
For our M-H guys it’s interesting that this is a late year 1953 conversion based on its six lug wheels. Earlier trucks had our 5 lug axles. Also interesting that you can see that M-H now grouped both transfer case levers together in the middle of the floor. No more busted knees on the engaging lever. Stu

I’ll look in the M254 manual, but like said the bare 1953 chassis I parted out, and others I’ve seen, were column shift to the 3HD. I’ll come back to edit with the manual reference. Stu
Edit - if I’d have thought before commenting, I’d have realized the M254 manual would say nothing about standard Ford parts. But I also have the 1953 M-H Sales Manual. Here it is found. Stu
