1994 E350 box van 460 knock
Hey guys, first time posting on here. I bought a 94 E350 box van last year. Had a tune up done right when I got it, the following week took it for a drove and it started knocking really bad. Was able to make it home but it’s sat since then. Went to a mechanic and he said it was the bottom end and said $8000 to get it running right? Needless to say, I thought that was a little high and my box van has sat for about 8 months now. I’m ready to get it back running. I’ve looked at some rebuilt engines online and considered having a mechanic rebuild what I have. Any recommendations of what you think would be best? I’m in San Diego if any of you have recommendations on a good mechanic that’s reasonable. Thanks in advance
