2100 Choke Question
I'm having some trouble getting the choke to work consistently. If it's adjusted so that it closes fully, then it doesn't fully open for a long, long time. That will often mean that the truck stays on high idle for ages.
If I adjust it so it fully opens fairly easily, it doesn't close enough to put me onto the high idle cam when cold.
My current thought is that the electric choke heater/thermostat might not be working. I've tested it with a multimeter and with the engine running it receives about 7V. It doesn't however show any kind of continuity from the spade terminal to the metal on the casing.
Some things I've read have suggested that it should only give a resistance reading at some temperatures, but I'm not sure if that's the case.
Does a lack of continuity definitely mean that it doesn't work?
I have a carter v1 on my 300 but the choke works the same way, hot air & 7v.
I will try and get out to the garage to check mine. I also think I have a Holley or 2 and thinking they must check the same other than needing 12v.

I'd really appreciate if you could test yous, thanks!
