Heater box compatability?

Hey, fellas, quick question--Is the heater box in our '67-'72 trucks the same as the '66-'77 Bronco units? I was working on putting a new fan blower in my truck today and noticed how downright crusty the box was and got to searching, and it looks like nobody makes a new box for our trucks, but the bronco one looks exactly the same to my eye. I figured I'd ask you all before dropping $300 over at CJ Pony parts on the wrong thing.

Thanks!

No.
And...the 1967 F100/750 heater is completely different than the 1968/72 F100/750 heater.

Here's a pic of the Bronco heater.

well crap....
I have a 67 and a 72 parts truck. my heater blower was going out so I swapped it with the 72. it works fine even tho the fan on the 72 is plastic and wider. I pulled the whole thing out and they look the same except for the heat resistor which lmc still offers for the 67. thought about rebuilding the 72 box for future use for the 67 but I guess not now. the 67 box is good still. only thing is the 67 is 2 speed and the 72 is 3 speed fan. this is ok correct?
sorry to hijack this thread...….

Thanks for the thorough answer. Guess I'll just have to upgrade to air conditioning when I can!

NumbersDummy, you are doing the lord's work, sir.
