I was wondering if a late model five speed of of a 91 would bolt up to my 85 300. Also is it possible to take a bolck that same year and adapt it to fit into the same 85 . The reason is I found a wrecked 91 with only about 50000 miles, I really want a five speed not the four i have. Anyone know.

shouldn't be a problem, bot 4.9l however if you wanted to do an engine swap, you will be in for it. Making that 91 drive train to go into your 85 is a job and a half. There are a lot of electrical and computer components. Your 85 should take the tranny though and then you may have to play with the speedometer to getr things right.
