Abominable Snow Machine, Awesome!

This last storm dropped over 21 inches of snow here in Suncrest, Utah. I drove 60 miles in Blizzard and White out conditions. Amazing Truck and did exceedingly well with the Michelin all season tires.

Holy crap Suncrest? Bought my first home there. Worst experience of my entire life. Homes built like junk, HOA that didn't enforce rules (and jacked up monthlies 3x), and snow, snow, snow. I had a Pontiac GTO back then with snow tires on the rear. I lived on a street with 4 houses on a level section at top of a hill with downhill on either side. Totally crazy. One time I slid down into someone's yard and tore their grass up a bit getting out. I knocked on their door and gave them my number in case they needed any landscaping done. They told me not worry about it. Another time I had my friend's Pontiac G5 for the night so I could get up at 4 am, take him to the airport, then drive his car to work and back home. I went halfway down the little hill on the street and drove right into a 4 foot drift of snow. Coudln't exit the car and fire dept had to come get me out. Then I had to help dig their truck out so they could leave.

The way my house was on that hill even if it snowed 8 inchhes for the day I would have 3+ foot drifts on the driveway. Have to dig my way into the garage. Good times.

(sorry for off-topic post)

Bought these at Orielly Auto Parts and paid about $8 each, under $6 at Home Depot online
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Blazer-I...4BAK/300250042

They have a rubber gromment on the and they fit perfectly in the Platinum grlle like they were made for it, you can place them anywhere in that grill bar. Tied them together and wired to key on hot wire. Funny thing is the black wire is the positive and the white is the ground on the LED lights.

That is an awesome pic! I agree with you that these truck are pretty amazing in the snow. I have 35,000 miles on my Michelin LTX AT2's. The siping is gone. Other than the tread blocks these things are slicks. Yet when we recently had 12+ inches of snow I was one of just a handful of vehicles that could get up all the steep hills in our neighborhood...I spent about 3 hours driving people to their homes after they parked their cars at the bottom of the hills. They would jump is and ask...."How does your truck get around so easily?" Every person asked. Nice to be able to help people.

My ride did not fare so well with the Michelin AT2's Here in western Washington...... they had really poor traction on wet roads. I swapped them out with BFG KO2's at the 500 mile mark. Glad I did.......got hit with our first snow of the year this week. The BFG's did great getting me around town.

Need to be careful the roof snow slides off the side, instead of down the windshield, potentially ripping the wipers clean off.
Snowhawk!

After a 45 minute drive into town.

Can you feel the weight of the snow as it comes off?
