Brake switch keeps going out.
Need some help. My 2011 F350 6.2L brake lights stay on when the pick up is turned off. Causing the battery to drain and run in “limp mode” when started. It happened for the first time last week, and I troubleshot it down to a faulty brake switch. Once I replaced it, lights stayed off and truck ran normally. Fast forward to today, and the wife said the brake lights were back on again. I’ll replace brake switch when I get back in town, but could there be something electrically causing the brake switch to go bad???

what about the install of the switch... did it LOCK into place.. or has it Moved ???
loose or not locked will cause the light to stay on..
its a simple mechanical pressure switch.. no pressure on switch.. its ON..

Here is the latest info on what's going on. So the brake lights are shutting off when I turn the truck off. Then for no rhyme or reason the brake lights will just come on. I replaced the brake switch again to rule it out. No change. Thought maybe a rat had gotten under hood and chewed on something, but have not found any signs of that happening. Anybod hav any thoughts on what the cause might be???
